Surf Sand Safaris - Half Day Tour

The half-day tour both departs and returns to Rainbow Beach. Depending on beach and tide conditions, tours depart morning and afternoon.

Morning or afternoon tea is provided.

Coloured Sands

This world famous attraction has over 40 different shades of colour. Our tour guides will demonstrate how the aboriginal people used the colours for painting and decorating boomerangs.

Double Island Point Lighthouse

The best coastal views from the lighthouse. We have access to drive you to the top where you will have 360 degree views to Noosa and Fraser Island.

National Park

Cooloola's unique, virtually unknown rainforest set amongst the sand dunes. Kauri Pine, Satinay Turpentine, Scribbly Gums, and Banksia grow abundantly in the National park.

Double Island Point

This area has a scenic area known as Honeymoon Bay has a salt water lagoon that has to be seen to be believed. It boasts one of the longest surf breaks in Australia. A very special place.

Surf Sand Safaris - Great Beach Drive

The drive provides over 200 kilometres of spectacular beach driving capturing the dramatic coastline scenery and wildlife along Queensland’s Sunshine and Fraser Coasts.

Subject to tidal and weather conditions the drive starts at Noosa and on to the beach highway to Double Island Point, which offers the world’s longest right hand surf break and the 1884 lighthouse. The tour continues along the beach to viewthe spectacular coloured sands and into Rainbow Beach.
